Medline Employees Support American Heart Association

Medline Industries Inc. employees recently participated in the American Heart Association’s (AHA) annual heart walk.

This year’s walk, which was a virtual event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, saw Medline employees coming together for more than 1,000 donations totaling US$61,000 for the AHA. Medline also will donate 1,000 reusable masks to Chicago area communities hit hard by the pandemic.

“People felt as though they made double the impact because not only were they able to support patients impacted by heart disease and stroke but also communities impacted by COVID-19,” said Karen Frey, Medline senior philanthropy manager.

This marks the seventh year Medline employees have participated in the AHA heart walk. The company has raised more than US$60,000 to date in support of the association.
