April 23, 2020

Medline Industries Inc. has announced the company has increased production of its alcohol-based hand sanitizer in order to meet the rising demand due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Medline’s Hartland, Wisconsin manufacturing facility is currently producing 200,000 bottles per week and the company anticipates ramping up weekly production to 400,000 bottles in the next two weeks. The company has retrofitted one of their production rooms to manufacture 80% ethyl alcohol-based hand sanitizer and redeployed production of other goods to additional sections of the facility.

In addition, Medline announced its Meriden, Connecticut plant has boosted production of its 1.5 mL packets of 62% ethyl alcohol gel-based hand sanitizer from 200,000 packets per month to 4,000,000 packets per month for at least the next two months. Medline’s Meriden facility has also started manufacturing hand sanitizer in bulk, shipping its first lot of 50-gallon drums earlier this month.
