Medline Opens New Distribution Center in Alaska

Medline Industries Inc. has opened a new  US$43 million medical-grade distribution center in Anchorage, Alaska.

The 145,000-square foot facility features an advanced, hands-free robotic product-picking system and an energy efficient and LEED-certified design. The new distribution center is triple the size of Medline’s previous distribution center for the region and allows the company to add another 35 new employees to its existing 20-member team.

“Medline has been growing to meet the needs of healthcare providers in Alaska, and we are excited to move into our new home,” said Bill Abington, Medline executive vice president for global operations. “The added team members and new facility ensures we will continue to be on the leading edge of healthcare to support our customers.”
