Medline Partners to Provide PPE to At-Risk Chicagoans

Medline Industries Inc. has partnered with the YMCA, Knowality, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield Illinois (BCBSIL) to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to at-risk individuals in Chicago.

Medline has supplied 100,000 reusable facemasks to the Community Mask Project. These masks will be distributed through YMCA and BCBSIL locations across Chicago starting next week.

“Prior to the pandemic, people living in Chicago’s most vulnerable communities were already impacted disproportionately by social determinants of health,” says Karen Frey, senior philanthropy manager, Medline. “All of the partners in the Community Mask Project know the well-being of our communities must be the top priority to enable people to live safe and healthy lives, regardless of their circumstances.”
