Milhench Supply Supports Area Charities

Milhench Supply Co. recently made more than US$30,000 worth of donations to charities in the New Bedford, Massachusetts area.

Milhench Supply donated disposable masks to several area schools as well as YMCA Southcoast and the Boys & Girls Club of New Bedford. The company also made monetary contributions to Gifts to Give and Catholic Social Services, local nonprofits that support those in need.

“Our family’s business has been operating in New Bedford for 90 years. Many of our longtime and loyal employees and their families live in New Bedford,” said Heike Milhench, Milhench Supply president. “Though once a thriving textile capital, its community faces challenges such as food inequity, homelessness, and poverty, exacerbated by the coronavirus epidemic. We are proud to support New Bedford nonprofit organizations who give to those in need, including the elderly, children. and single moms.”
