OSHA Extends Compliance Date for Injury Tracking

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has proposed delaying the electronic reporting compliance date of its latest injury and illness tracking ruling until December 15.

The ruling, which was scheduled to go into effect December 1, requires employers to inform workers of their rights to report workplace injuries without the fear of retaliation. OSHA issued the extension to conduct additional outreach and educational efforts with employers.
