P&G Announces Commitment to Reduce Plastic Waste

April 12, 2019

Procter & Gamble (P&G), parent company of Procter & Gamble Professional, has announced a company-wide commitment to reduce the use of virgin petroleum plastic in all packaging by 50% by 2030.

P&G’s commitment applies to its entire product line, both in the United States and international. The company estimates this will avoid the use of more than 300,000 tons of virgin plastic per year. Previously P&G had announced a goal of using 100% recyclable or reusable packaging by 2030.
