SC Johnson Boosts Hand Sanitizer Production

April 22, 2020

SC Johnson, parent company of SC Johnson Professional, has announced plans to convert production lines at its Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin, to increase its manufacturing capacity of hand sanitizer.

Once the production lines are upgraded, the Mt. Pleasant plant, SC Johnson’s largest manufacturing facility, will be capable of producing up to 75,000 bottles of hand sanitizer per month. All of the hand sanitizer produced will be donated to health care workers, first responders, and SC Johnson employees.

In addition, Dow Chemical Co. has agreed to make a one-time contribution to SC Johnson of bulk sanitizer to produce 25,000 eight-ounce bottles. Once the bulk sanitizer from Dow is packaged, SC Johnson will return approximately 12,500 bottles to Dow, for distribution to Dow’s production sites.
