SC Johnson Goes to Bat for Sustainability

January 28, 2020

SC Johnson, parent company of SC Johnson Professional, has announced a strategic partnership with MLB’s Milwaukee Brewers.

Per the terms of the agreement, fans attending Brewers home games at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will be able to dispose of plastic drink cups branded with the SC Johnson logo in specially designed receptacles. SC Johnson will then collect the discarded cups and use the recycled plastic to manufacturer bottles for its Scrubbing Bubbles® product line. The company estimates the initiative will remove more than 1 million plastic cups per year from the waste stream.

“We all need to work together to help close the plastic recycling loop, and I hope this first-of-its-kind initiative with the Brewers will serve as a model for other major league teams, companies, and even other sports leagues,” said Fisk Johnson, CEO and chairman of SC Johnson.
