Service Master Appoints Ponton CEO

ServiceMaster Global Holdings, Inc., parent company of ServiceMaster Clean, has appointed Brett T. Ponton CEO, effective on or before October 1.

Ponton joins ServiceMaster from Monro Inc., where he has served as president and CEO since 2017. He succeeds Naren Gursahaney, who has been acting as ServiceMaster’s interim CEO since Nik Varty stepped down from the position in January to pursue other opportunities.

“With his deep and relevant experience, Brett is the right leader to further the transformation of ServiceMaster’s core Terminix business, strengthen our operational excellence, and oversee the next phase of the Company’s growth and creation of shareholder value,” said Gursahaney. “His embrace of a servant leadership mentality and clear understanding of the key role frontline employees play in ensuring excellent customer service make him a great fit for ServiceMaster.”
