Sodexo Acquires Centerplate

Sodexo has acquired international hospitality services provider Centerplate, Inc. for US$675 million.

Stamford, CT-based Centerplate is currently the fourth largest operator by revenues in the U.S. sports and leisure market, providing catering and hospitality services to stadiums and arenas throughout the United States, Canada, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The acquisition, which is subject to customary regulatory approvals, is expected to be finalized by the end of the year, Reuters reports.
