Sodexo Secures Several US Government Contracts

May 7, 2021 Sodexo Secures Several US Government Contracts

Sodexo was recently awarded foodservice contract extensions with the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), the U.S. Defense Commissary Agency (DeCa), and Guam Department of Education.

Sodexo’s deal with the U.S. Army calls for the company to provide food services to five MEDCOM military treatment facilities located at West Point, New York; Ft. Stewart, Georgia; Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; Ft. Riley, Kansas; and Ft. Irwin, California. The company has been contracted by MEDCOM since 2008.

Sodexo’s extension with DeCa finds the company overseeing 22 commissary locations. The Guam Department of Education has extended Sodexo’s contract to oversee the preparation and distribution of breakfast and lunch for 38 schools throughout the island territory.

“As the nation’s largest foodservice provider to the federal government, Sodexo is keenly aware of the way our services support the missions of government agencies and the military,” explained Brett Ladd, CEO, Government North America, Sodexo. “Working in tandem with important organizations like U.S. Army MEDCOM, Defense Commissary Agency, and Guam Department of Education, we have the privilege of improving life for a broad range of patrons. It’s quite a responsibility, but one Sodexo takes on proudly.”
