SP Richards Offers Update on Fire Recovery

Rick Toppin, president and CEO of S.P. Richards Co. (SPR) recently issued an update on the company’s recovery efforts from a fire earlier this month, OPI reports.

“We couldn’t have achieved these results without the understanding and patience of our customers, the support of our suppliers, and a remarkable can-do spirit among all SPR associates,” said Toppin. “We are quickly finalizing our plans to rebuild these facilities and we’ll have some exciting announcements on these plans in the coming days. Again, thank you for all your support during what was a very remarkable week in our 171-year history. SPR is not ‘back’… we never left—not for a single day!”

Earlier this month, SPR’s Smyrna, Ga. distribution center was hit by a massive fire. Ten firefighting crews from area counties were able to contain the blaze, which also damaged the company’s headquarters.
