Survey Finds Residential Spring Cleaning Still Popular Trend

March 20, 2019

Seventy-seven percent of Americans will participate in some form of spring cleaning this year, according to a recent study by the American Cleaning Institute (ACI).

In compiling its report, ACI surveyed 1,000 Americans on their cleaning habits. The study found on average participants felt it would take six days to perform a thorough cleaning on their homes this spring. ACI’s survey also found one-in-three respondents believe they do not clean their home often enough, with one-in-four stating when they do clean, they do not clean properly.

The complete results of the survey can be viewed on ACI’s website.
