Tennant Celebrates 150th Anniversary

Tennant Co. recently marked its 150th year of business.
In 1870, George H. Tennant launched the company from a sawmill on the banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. The company pivoted to floor care machines in the 1930s and has since expanded to manufacturing and selling equipment in the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
To mark the momentous occasion, Dave Huml, Tennant chief operating officer, was invited to virtually ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange last week. In addition, the company is preparing to open its new world headquarters campus in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
