Trauma Combat Hospital in Afghanistan Recertifies to CIMS with Honors

Fluor Corp. recently recertified to the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS), earning a CIMS with Honors designation. The certification is valid two years. Fluor received its initial CIMS certification in 2017.

Developed by ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, CIMS is a comprehensive management and operations standard for cleaning organizations globally, and a game-changer for facility managers and cleaning business owners working in a competitive marketplace.

Fluor is an industry leader providing scalable, rapid response, life support services; logistics; construction and operations: and maintenance for global military operations and humanitarian and disaster relief missions. It provides support services to the U.S. Army and coalition forces in Afghanistan under the U.S. Army Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP).

Fluor received its CIMS certification through its work at Craig Joint Theater Hospital (CJTH), which provides treatment to U.S. and coalition forces, including Afghan military and civilians. Fluor manages the 114,270-square-foot facility and provides all custodial and cleaning services.

To earn CIMS certification, the hospital underwent a comprehensive assessment by a third-party CIMS accredited auditor. During the audit, Fluor demonstrated its compliance with the five core principles of the standard: quality systems; service delivery; human resources; health, safety, and environmental stewardship; and management commitment.
