UMF Honors Top Hygiene Specialists
January 16, 2020Elida Gardella and Lourdes Rosenwasser have been named the recipients of UMF Corp.’s 2019 Hygiene Specialist® Excellence Award.
Now in its 10th year, UMF’s annual award highlights the contributions of environmental services departments in hospitals and long-term care facilities. Gardella and Rosenwasser, environmental service aides at Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, New York, were honored for their efforts in maintaining a high level of cleaning excellence at their facility as well as their efforts to train the hospital’s staff in proper infection prevention procedures.
