Whittaker Marks 60th Anniversary

Whittaker Co. recently marked its 60th year of business.

The New Castle, Pennsylvania manufacturer was founded in 1961 as the R.E. Whittaker Company by Dick Whittaker. The company embraced encapsulation cleaning technology in the 1980s as a sustainable approach to carpet cleaning. Today Dick’s family continues to lead the company with his son Tom serving as president and his grandsons, Derek and Trent, involved in the day-to-day operations of the company.
