June 28, 2022 Yaamava’ Resort & Casino Hits the Jackpot with GBAC® STAR Facility Accreditation for Cleanliness

The Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel has achieved GBAC® STAR Facility Accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC), a Division of ISSA. The accreditation validates facility cleaning, disinfection, and infection prevention programs to maintain health, wellness, and resilience against current and future biorisks.

“Travelers and guests continue to demand cleanliness of the facilities they are visiting, even as we move into the post-COVID-19 pandemic phase,” said GBAC Executive Director Patricia Olinger. “This third-party verification of Yaamava’s commitment to health and safety gives guests confidence that the resort is cleaned and disinfected to the highest standards.”

The facility, owned and operated by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, is located in the city of Highland, Calif., and boasts the ‘biggest and best gaming in the West.’ The resort hosts millions annually and features a 3,000-person capacity theatre for live events, 432 luxury hotel rooms and suites, a full-service salon and spa, six dine-in restaurants, and more than 10 bars and lounges.

“Customer expectations have changed greatly since the pandemic, and we want our guests to remain confident in their health and safety during their visit,” said Yaamava’ Resort & Casino General Manager Peter Arceo. “GBAC® STAR accreditation demonstrates our commitment to creating memorable and safe experiences for our guests.”
