California Chemical Plant Burns for Several Hours

A five-alarm fire erupted in a chemical plant located in Anaheim, CA that left three injured and caused dozens of nearby buildings to be evacuated.

The fire—which originated at American Chemical and Sanitary Supply, Inc. on Friday, June 9, at 3:15 P.M. in the city’s industrial district—lasted for four hours. The thick black smoke rose hundreds of feet in the air and resulted in the closure of several surrounding roads. The injured are all expected to make full recoveries, and the cause and associated financial losses of the fire have yet to be determined, according to KCAL 9 News.
