Cintas Crowns Top Custodian

Cintas Corp. has named Aristeo Flores of Scotts Valley Middle School in Scotts Valley, CA, the winner of its 2019 Custodian of the Year contest.

The contest, now in its sixth year, called for elementary, middle, high-school, and college students, in addition to staff, to submit a short essay describing why their school’s custodian deserves the award. The public then voted for the top pick from 10 finalists selected by Cintas.

Flores, who received more than 278,600 online votes, was presented with a cash prize of US$5,000 and an additional $5,000 in Rubbermaid Commercial Products and Cintas products for his school. The nine runners-up will each receive $500.
