October 26, 2017 Cintas Poll Reveals Need for Emergency Lighting During Power Out

Emergency lighting is an important component of facility safety as a recent poll found that more than one-third of U.S. adults do not believe they could safety evacuate their work facility during a power outage.

According to the poll of 2,072 adults conducted by Cintas Corp. and published in a white paper, 34 percent would not feel confident in their ability to navigate the building safely during a power outage. The poll also found that 50 percent do not believe they could walk up and down stairways safely in the dark, and 42 percent would not feel confident in their ability to calmly execute their workplaces’ emergency plan.
