DowDuPont Third Quarter Profits Top Estimates

DowDuPont, Inc. reported preliminary third-quarter profits above analysts’ estimates.
Earnings rose to 55 cents a share from 50 cents a year earlier, Bloomberg reported. Financial experts expected the company to earn 41 cents a share. Sales climbed 7.6 percent to US$18.3 billion, beating the $17.5 billion average estimate. The company credited high consumer-led demand and higher prices for its third-quarter results. The company will report final results for the quarter on November 2, 2017.
