Ecolab Increases 3rd-Quarter Earnings

Ecolab, Inc. has declared a fiscal third-quarter profit of US$392.4 million, or $1.34 per share, up 5 percent from $374.1 million, or $1.27 per share, one year earlier.

The company reported third-quarter sales of $3.56 billion, an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period one year ago. Ecolab’s industrial segment improved sales 2 percent, while revenues in the company’s institutional business grew 5 percent.
