Essendant Appoints Richard Phillips Interim CEO

Essendant has appointed Richard Phillips interim president and CEO.

Phillips joined Essendant in 2013 as president of online and new channels. He has served as group president of the company’s industrial division since 2016.

Phillips succeeds Robert Aiken Jr., who has resigned as Essendant’s president and CEO to pursue other opportunities. The company’s board has formed a special committee, which will team with an executive search firm, to find a permanent replacement for Aiken.
