Georgia-Pacific Sells Pine Chemicals Division
August 23, 2017Georgia-Pacific, LLC, parent company of Georgia-Pacific Professional, has divested its pine chemicals business to specialty chemical manufacturer Ingevity Corp. for US$315 million.
Per the terms of the deal, Ingevity will acquire the pine chemicals-related assets of Georgia-Pacific’s Crossett, AR, manufacturing facility, as well as various patents and product names. The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to customary regulatory and closing conditions, The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.
