ABM Facility Services has secured a contract with Lowndes County Schools in Valdosta, GA, to implement energy and facility improvement projects in several school buildings and facilities.

The contract calls for ABM to upgrade the district’s facilities with energy-efficient LED lighting, updated HVAC control systems, upgraded ventilation systems, and high-efficiency hand dryers. Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce the county’s energy consumption and save the school district more than US$13.6 million in energy and operating costs during the next 15 years.
