W.W. Grainger, Inc. has posted a 1 percent increase in overall sales for the month of February.
Grainger attributed the sales growth to acquisitions, specifically its purchase of British distributor Cromwell Group Ltd. Grainger’s daily sales in the United States declined 1 percent, while the company’s sales in Asia, Europe, and Latin America increased 51 percent in local currencies.
Grainger often is deemed a harbinger of the U.S. economy due to the wide range of its offerings.
