ISSA Awards Cleaning Industry Innovators of 2018

The Team ISSA Welcome Reception was an occasion to not only renew business relationships for hundreds of cleaning industry professionals, but also to announce the winners of some well-deserved awards.

As an event marking the kickoff of ISSA Show North America 2018, taking place in Dallas, TX, October29–November 1,  the reception was selected as the venue to reveal the Category Award winners of the 2018 ISSA Innovation Award Program; the program is a platform to gather and recognize the cleaning industry’s most innovative products and services from top manufacturers and suppliers.

The Category Awards
Entries were organized into five categories—Cleaning Agents, Dispensers, Equipment, Services and Technology, and Supplies and Accessories–and were voted on by cleaning-industry distributors, building service contractors, in-house service providers, and residential cleaners.

Category winners were determined by an online voting process in the months leading up to the ISSA Show North America 2018. One innovative company from each category earned the honor of taking home the illuminated trophy: 

• Cleaning Agents: Enviro-Solutions® Terrazzo and Concrete Floor Care Program by Charlotte Products Ltd.
• Dispensers: The Complete Menstrual Care System for Your Facility by HOSPECO
• Equipment: KIRA B50 Intelligent Cleaning Robot by Kärcher North America
• Services and Technology: KOLO Smart Monitoring System by GP PRO
• Supplies and Accessories: Unger Excella™ by Unger Enterprises

Fifteen voters were winners, too, as online voters were entered into monthly drawings to win one of five US$50 MasterCard gift cards each month that voting was open.

The 2018 Innovation of the Year
Show attendees—and the entire cleaning industry—will be left in suspense for a few more days before learning the winner of the prestigious 2018 ISSA Innovation of the Year Award.

In addition to the online voting by cleaning-industry professionals, the recipient of this most elite distinction is selected by a panel of expert judges from across our industry. The Innovation of the Year Award announcement takes place Thursday, November 1, at 1:00 p.m. in the ISSA Innovation Marketplace, Booth 3405, on the exhibition floor.
