ISSA Members Win Edison Awards for Product Innovation

Products developed by 3M; Dow Chemical Co.; Ecolab, Inc.; Johnson Controls, Inc.; and Unilever have been named recipients of 2019 Edison Awards.

The annual Edison Award program recognizes the most innovative new products and business leaders. A panel of judges selected the award winners based on concept, value, delivery, and impact criteria. Winners were announced at the Edison Awards annual gala, April 4, in New York, NY.

Five Dow Chemical products received Edison Awards. Dow’s ECOFAST™ Pure was honored with a Silver Edison Award in the clean manufacturing category while its VORARAD™ Technology for Resin-Coated Sand Proppants received a Silver Edison Award in the environmentally friendly solutions category. Dow’s ENGAGE™ PV Polyolefin Elastomers received a Gold Award in the Solar Advancements category while the company’s BETAFORCE™ 9050M received a Silver Edison Award in the automotive materials and manufacturing category. Also, Dow’s OPULUX™ HGT received a Bronze Edison Award in the coating and packaging materials category.

3M received a Gold Edison Award in the Lab Advancements category for its 3M™ Petrifilm™ Rapid E. coli/Coliform Count Plate and Ecolab was presented with a Silver Edison Award in the same category for its Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) DNA-Based Legionella Test.

Unilever took home a Gold Edison Award in the home solutions category for its Day2 solution. Johnson Controls received a Bronze Edison Award in the environmentally friendly solutions category for its YORK® YZ Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller.
