Johnson Controls Acquires Smartvue

Johnson Controls, Inc. has acquired video surveillance provider Smartvue Corp.
Johnson Controls’ purchase of the Nashville, TN-based firm expands its portfolio of Internet of Things (IoT) offerings. The company will incorporate Smartvue’s cloud-based video surveillance software into its IoT product catalog. Financial details of the acquisition were not revealed.
