Mitie Divests Pest Control Division

Mitie Group Plc has divested its pest control business unit, Mitie Pest Control Ltd., to Rentokil Initial plc for US$52 million.
Per the terms of the deal, Andy Halsall, interim managing director of Mitie Pest, will remain with the company for an unspecified period to assist with a successful transition. According to Mitie, the sale allows the company to free up funds for its core brands, Facilities Management Journal reports.
