Newell Brands Divests Fire Starter Business

Newell Brands, Inc., parent company of Rubbermaid Commercial Products, has divested its fire starter and matches division to Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC.

The deal includes Newell Brands’ Diamond® line of matches, fire starters, lighters, and toothpicks and its Mountain® fire starters and fire logs business. Newell Brands will retain possession of its Diamond brand of plastic cutlery. Financial details of the sale were not disclosed.
