Sodexo to Ban Straws in U.K.

Sodexo has banned the purchase of all plastic straws and coffee stirrers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Sodexo also announced the company will phase out single-use plastic bags and polystyrene foam items, such as cups and food containers, by 2020, Facilities Management Journal reports. The decision is part of Sodexo’s corporate responsibility roadmap, which commits the company to ensure that 90 percent of its waste is recyclable or reusable by 2025.
