Grainger Increases 1st-Quarter Sales

W.W. Grainger, Inc. has reported first-quarter sales of US$2.5 billion, an increase of 1 percent year-over-year.
Grainger’s U.S. sales, which account for the majority of the company’s total revenue, declined slightly (1 percent) to $1.95 billion. Sales in the company’s Canada division increased 4 percent while the company’s Other Businesses segment, which includes its operations in Asia, Europe, and Latin America, saw sales increase 12 percent compared to the same time period last year.
