ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, is excited to introduce the second class of young professionals in the ISSA Emerging Leaders Awards program.

Spotlighting fresh talent

Following the success of last year’s inaugural awards, the program continues its mission to recognize and uplift the next generation of leaders who are shaping the future of cleaning. These professionals—each under 40 years of age—are already driving innovation and change across every corner of the industry, from manufacturers and distributors to in-house teams and building service contractors.

Celebrating their achievements isn’t just about recognition. It’s about inspiring others to push boundaries, embrace creativity, and raise the bar in an industry that impacts lives around the globe. ISSA also thanks the many seasoned professionals who nominated this outstanding group, demonstrating once again that mentorship and support fuel growth.

ALEX BERTUZZI

Alex Bertuzzi is the Vice President and Owner of Reliable Cleaning Services and Reliable Maintenance Products in Canada, where he’s earned a reputation as one of the industry’s most forward-thinking and people-driven leaders. As a third-generation leader in his family’s company, he’s transforming that legacy into something modern, inclusive, and future-ready. QUINCY BLAND

Director of Custodial Services & Waste Management, Round Rock Independent School District

Quincy Bland, Director of Custodial Services & Waste Management at Round Rock Independent School District, is a recognized Emerging Leader in the cleaning and facility solutions industry. With over 20 years of experience spanning healthcare, hospitality, and education, Bland brings a diverse and forward-thinking approach to operational excellence. He leads custodial operations across more than 60 facilities and a team of 350+ staff, implementing innovative strategies that enhance cleanliness, sustainability, and team development.

Bland’s leadership is grounded in accountability, data-driven decisions, and a passion for people. He has successfully introduced strategic waste reduction programs, smart supply chain practices, and inclusive training initiatives that support a multilingual workforce. His many certifications from ISSA’s Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) and Certified Custodial Supervisor (CCS) to Certified Texas School Business Specialist (CTSBS) through Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) reflect his dedication to professional excellence.

TIM BRADLEY

Vice President, Facility Solutions & Packaging, Southwest, Lindenmeyr Munroe

Tim Bradley, Vice President of Facility Solutions and Packaging, Southwest, Lindenmeyr Munroe, has earned distinction as an Emerging Leader in the cleaning and facility solutions industry. Originally from South Africa, he learned early that standing out comes from hard work and humility. He carries that mindset into his career in the United States, where he believes no task is too small or too big.

Bradley is recognized for his ability to identify customer needs, streamline supply strategies, and guide organizations toward cleaner, safer, and more efficient operations. His work spans both local and national accounts, often coordinating with Lindenmeyr Munroe’s network of branches to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Known for balancing strategic vision with practical execution, he continues to elevate janitorial and packaging from cost centers to value-driven business assets.

As a husband and father of two young children, Bradley credits his family and the senior leadership team at Lindenmeyr Munroe as sources of inspiration.

DOMINICK BUCHHOLZ

Director of Internal Operations, Buck Services Inc.

Dominick Buchholz, Director of Internal Operations at Buck Services Inc., has earned national recognition as an Emerging Leader in the cleaning and facility solutions industry. As a second-generation leader, Buchholz brings a unique combination of strategic insight, operational excellence, and deep compassion to an often-overlooked field. With a background in psychology, he leads with empathy and precision—translating data into action, streamlining internal processes, and driving meaningful culture change throughout his organization.

Buchholz has implemented forward-thinking strategies that blend technology with people-first practices. From spearheading the company’s ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) certification to enhancing scheduling systems that promote work-life balance, he champions employee well-being as a central component of operational success. His leadership extends beyond Buck Services. He serves on the ISSA Education Committee and advocates for industry-wide workforce development, inclusion, and recognition of cleaning as a skilled profession.

A passionate volunteer, Buchholz supports initiatives such as ISSA’s Cleaning for a Reason, Parents Alliance Employment Project (PAEP), and La Salle Manor Retreat Center. He advocates for equity, disability inclusion, and community engagement—proving that leadership doesn’t stop at the workplace door.

MARK BUSHEY

Associate Director, Channel Management at

Kimberly-Clark Professional (KCP)

Mark Bushey, Associate Director of Channel Management at Kimberly-Clark Professional (KCP), has earned recognition as an Emerging Leader in the cleaning and facility solutions industry. With over 12 years at KCP and six progressive roles spanning category management, marketing, innovation, and sales, Bushey has consistently demonstrated customer-centric leadership, innovation, and a commitment to mentorship and making a positive impact.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bushey was hand-selected by senior leadership to lead the rapid development and launch of a NIOSH-regulated N95 respirator, which was delivered in under nine months. He’s also been instrumental in bringing trusted, high-quality products like KleenGuard ™ protective apparel, WypAll® towels, and Scott® Shop Towels to market.

Bushey manages over US$320 million in channel partner business, including relationships with over a dozen strategic customers across a variety of channels, including jansan, office products, med-surg, industrial, and wholesale.

Known for his ability to drive growth, change, and accountability, he also leads a team of senior professionals while mentoring junior colleagues.

A former Teach for America (TFA) teacher, Bushey brings a service-first mindset, supporting education and sustainability initiatives. He also helped commercialize RightCycle, a first-of-its-kind sustainability program formerly from KCP (now owned by Ansell) that diverts tons of PPE and wiper waste from landfills.

As a father, mentor, and industry advocate, Mark Bushey exemplifies Kimberly-Clark’s mission of “Better Care for a Better World.”

 

SARITA CERON

QC and Compliance Manager at CCMS

Sarita Ceron, Quality Control (QC) and Compliance Manager at CCMS (Custom Cleaning and Management Services), exemplifies next-generation leadership in the cleaning and facility solutions industry. With a background in environmental engineering and certifications in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 14064, she brings both scientific depth and operational savvy to every initiative she leads.

At CCMS, Ceron drives quality control, compliance, and sustainability strategies across janitorial and facility programs. More than a regulator of standards, she is a builder of frameworks—developing protocols that support greenhouse gas reduction, smarter waste segregation, and air-quality improvements.

By analyzing inspection and audit data, she proposes process improvements that enhance safety, reduce risks, and strengthen client confidence. Under her leadership, CCMS has achieved audit readiness for ISO 9001 and CIMS GB with Honors.

Her leadership is deeply human-centered. She mentors front-line staff, especially women and Spanish-speaking team members, creating informal training circles that make compliance and environmental health approachable.

Colleagues describe Ceron as a leader who goes above and beyond, supporting not only her own department but also stepping in to strengthen other areas of the business when needed.

DOMINIQUE CHEATHAM

Supervisor of Day Porters and General

Maintenance, Continuum Services

Dominique Cheatham, Supervisor of Day Porters and General Maintenance at Continuum Services, is a groundbreaking leader who has rapidly become a force in the cleaning and facility services industry. As the first female BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) leader at the company, Cheatham has not only broken barriers but has redefined what leadership looks like in a traditionally underrepresented space.

In her first year, she expanded the department by more than 50%, pairing disciplined operational execution with a clear, forward-looking strategy. She strengthened processes, clarified priorities, and invested in people—coaching emerging leaders and elevating team morale—which turned momentum into measurable results and set a durable foundation for the next phase of growth.

Cheatham holds Basic and Advanced Custodial Technician certifications as well as the Train-the-Trainer credential, which enables her to formally certify and elevate her team of over 20.

Her commitment to workforce development is matched by her dedication to mentorship—supporting new hires and junior staff as they grow into leadership roles. She also leads internal workshops on diversity, equity, and inclusion, drawing on her own experiences to inspire others and make a difference.

She volunteers with local high schools, community organizations, and programs like Joyful Treats Community Development Corporation (JTCDC) to provide job-readiness training, mock interviews, and career talks—especially for women and BIPOC youth.

MAGGIE GOTTARDI

Director of Technology at State Industrial

Products

As the Director of Technology at State Industrial Products, Maggie Gottardi is a powerhouse of innovation, strategic leadership, and technical expertise.

She leads a team of scientists and innovators in developing cutting-edge cleaning solutions, while also managing raw material costs, assisting quality control investigations, and supporting supply chain sourcing for chemicals and packaging.

Her deep understanding of regulatory and government affairs makes her an integral leader in audits and compliance, as well as a trusted advisor across various departments.

Gottardi’s influence extends far beyond her organization. She is an active and respected member of the Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA), where she serves on multiple volunteer committees.

As Vice Chair of the Cleaning Products Division, Chair of the Education Committee, and the driving force behind the HCPA 2025 New Horizons Conference, Gottardi curated speakers, selected the venue, and built the event agenda—offering her time and talents to elevate the industry as a whole.

She is also a key contributor to industry standards, regularly writing and reviewing test methods for cleaning and formulation performance, adopted across labs and manufacturers.

Maggie Gottardi’s work in these spaces is often unpaid and done during her personal time—motivated purely by her commitment to industry progress, mentoring peers, and advancing best practices and standards.

TYLER HANDS

Executive Vice President, C&C Cleaning Services

Tyler Hands, Executive Vice President at C&C Cleaning Services, is widely recognized as a transformative leader in the commercial cleaning and facility solutions industry. Combining visionary strategy with operational precision, Hands has played a pivotal role in scaling the organization through innovation, technology, and people-first leadership.

Hands’s impact is evident in the systems he has developed—ranging from AI-driven quoting platforms and automated mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence tools to intelligent sales commission forecasting models. Regional Operations Manager, INTEGRITY

Donnell Hines serves as a Regional Operations Manager at INTEGRITY National Corporation, where he consistently exemplifies the qualities of a dedicated and emerging leader in the facility services industry.

Known for his tireless work ethic, Hines is willing to put in long hours and work any day necessary to ensure projects are completed on time and with excellence. He has played a critical role in onboarding new buildings into the company’s portfolio, collaborating with trainers and colleagues to develop detailed checklists and customized cleaning schedules that streamline operations.

Certified as a building service manager, Hines takes a proactive approach to team development. Caden Hutchens is the CEO of Otuvy and a standout leader in the cleaning and facility solutions industry.

Hutchens’ leadership is rooted in a deep understanding of the human element behind the industry. Under his leadership, Otuvy has become a seven-time recipient of the ISSA Innovation Award for its software solutions.

Caden also has a passion for hockey and is a devoted fan of the new NHL team, the Utah Mammoth. He also laces up himself, playing in a rookie-level adult competitive league.

CRISTHIAN INZUNZA

Cristhian Inzunza serves as an Account Manager at Western Maintenance Sales and is quickly establishing himself as one of the most promising young leaders in the cleaning and facility solutions industry.

In just two years, Inzunza has become a standout figure in AI robotics within the jansan space, earning recognition as a lead educator, dynamic presenter, and top-performing sales leader. His rapid grasp of cutting-edge technologies has led to praise from prestigious institutions, including top universities, healthcare facilities, and building service contractors.

Inzunza’s passion for innovation is matched by his ability to make technology accessible and practical for the end-user. His deep knowledge of AI-driven cleaning solutions places him at the forefront of industry transformation. He doesn’t just talk about the future—he is actively shaping it.

Beyond his professional role, Inzunza is committed to giving back. He has played a key part in organizing and supporting the Cleaning for a Reason golf tournament in the West and continues to participate in the foundation’s fundraising efforts.

His involvement highlights a strong sense of community and a commitment to service.

JAANIKA KASEMETS

Development Manager, Puhastusekspert OÜ, Estonia

Jaanika Kasemets, Development Manager at Puhastusekspert OÜ in Estonia, is a standout emerging leader in the global cleaning sector. With a combination of strategic vision, creativity, and a deep commitment to purposeful cleaning, Kasemets has spent the past six years reshaping how cleaning is perceived and practiced.

She leads development initiatives at Puhastusekspert, creating engaging and impactful training materials, coordinating international collaborations, and advancing learning through visual storytelling and digital tools, among others.

Kasemets played a key role in coordinating two European projects focused on ergonomic and pandemic-safe cleaning, producing award-winning instructional materials recognized across multiple countries. She also led a cleaning training initiative for the Estonian Defence Forces, making essential knowledge accessible in military environments.

Her leadership style—proactive, thoughtful, and inclusive—has united stakeholders across borders to pursue shared goals through transparent communication, consistent follow-through, and measurable outcomes. She has also contributed to national cleaning standards, ensuring quality and consistent practices in healthcare and general cleaning.

Her mission is to elevate cleaning as a profession—making it more relatable, respected, and widely recognized for its essential role in health, sustainability, and more. She works to showcase the skills, science, and impact behind the work, highlight real career paths, and build public appreciation among customers, policymakers, and communities alike.

Beyond her professional work, Jaanika Kasemets volunteers as a speaker, standard contributor, and organizer of hygiene initiatives, and is an active participant in the Women in Entrepreneurship–A Green and Caring World program.

 

CALEB LINDSEY

Branch Manager, Imperial Dade

Caleb Lindsey, Branch Manager at Imperial Dade, is a shining example of servant leadership and a rising star in the industry. Starting as an IT intern at just 18 years old, Lindsey’s career has been marked by impressive growth and development. His journey, fueled by humility, hard work, and a commitment to excellence, has seen him excel in various roles—IT director, operations manager, and now branch manager.

Lindsey is a leader who lifts others up and leads by example. He fosters a collaborative and effective environment, grounded in his strong Christian values.

Lindsey prioritizes people over processes, fostering a culture of integrity, care, and high standards. His diverse expertise in IT, data analytics, operations, and leadership has empowered him to drive impactful digital improvements, streamline workflows, and elevate both customer experience and internal processes.

Outside of work, Lindsey is deeply committed to serving others. From mission trips and volunteering with the homeless to leading worship at his church, his dedication to service is evident and inspires colleagues and the communities he serves every week.

At only 28, Caleb Lindsey’s emotional intelligence, ethical foundation, and relentless focus on service make him a role model for the next generation of leaders. He remains dedicated to shaping a safer and more sustainable future for the industry.

 

SEAN LYNCH

Director, Custodial Services, UBC Facilities, Canada

Sean Lynch is Director of Custodial Services at University of British Columbia (UBC) Facilities, where his leadership, communication, and strategic vision set him apart as an emerging leader in the custodial industry. With a knack for translating high-level goals into actionable plans, he fosters trust through transparency and empowers his team to exceed performance targets. His commitment to excellence and industry best practices led to the development of UBC’s real-time cleaning-performance dashboards and the achievement of CIMS Certification with Honors.

Lynch pioneered several initiatives at UBC, including driving the adoption of cutting-edge work planning software for greater long-term efficiency and transparency in work loading towards service level expectations.

His work has helped UBC advance sustainability goals, including prioritizing a green-cleaning program that has resulted in 99.7% of campus chemicals being purchased as green or ECOLOGO® certified.

He emphasizes professional development, having earned his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, enrolling in an MSc program in Organizational Psychology, and leading a culture of performance feedback and continuous improvement in the department. He pairs coursework with on-the-job projects that cut waste and improve service quality, mentors emerging leaders, and installs clear metrics so growth is visible, repeatable, and sustained.

With his approach to leadership, Lynch continues to shape the future of custodial services at UBC and demonstrate how vision and determination can create lasting impact within the industry.

VINCENT MAIONE

Director of Sales and Marketing, Core America

Vincent Maione is Director of Sales and Marketing at Core America, where his experience in the cleaning industry drives innovation and growth. Maione began his career in the field, spending nearly 10 years performing custodial quality and safety audits across hundreds of facilities in the United States.

This hands-on experience has been invaluable in shaping his current role, enabling him to provide real, practical support to customers using Core America’s software platform.

Maione’s charisma and leadership style attract others to his initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and motivation. He is known for his enthusiasm and willingness to take on new projects, often stepping outside his comfort zone to lead pilot programs and drive company initiatives.

His technical expertise, including his background in IT, allows him to support team members with complex computer and networking issues.

A founding member of the ISSA’s Technology and Innovation committee, Maione plays a key role in shaping the committee’s mission, contributing to numerous industry events and podcasts.

Dedicated to mentoring, he has supported a custodial consulting startup in Ghana, helping them establish quality inspection processes through regular coaching sessions.

ALESSANDRA MASSETTI

Technical Sales Specialist, Barentz

Alessandra Massetti is a Technical Sales Specialist at Barentz (formerly Citrus Oleo) North America, where she exemplifies leadership, innovation, and a mindset essential to the future of the cleaning industry. Trained as a chemist and scientist, Massetti has the ability to identify complex problems and transform them into opportunities for scientific breakthroughs and client success.

Her entrepreneurial spirit and relentless curiosity have driven her to develop groundbreaking cleaning additives, formulations, and processes that enhance efficiency and sustainability, while reducing environmental impact and delivering measurable, reliable performance across diverse applications.

Massetti’s work, which includes pioneering PFAS alternative technology, addresses environmental and regulatory challenges facing the industry while moving solutions from lab validation to field pilots with results. Her technical expertise and data-informed approaches enhance her company’s capabilities, strengthen compliance, and deliver benefits to the industry.

Beyond her professional achievements, Massetti demonstrates a deep commitment to service. She organizes food drives, supports neighborhood gardens to promote local sustainability, and participates in environmental projects.

Outside of work, Massetti has a passion for mentoring children through church summer programs and contributes to blood donation drives, where her leadership and organizational skills ensure success. She plans activities, coordinates volunteers, and teaches practical life skills that build confidence and community.

MADISON MCENROE

Product Specialist/Subject Matter Expert,
Genesan

Madison McEnroe is a dynamic subject matter expert at Genesan, known for her deep industry knowledge, infectious energy, and unwavering commitment to the cleaning profession. At 27, McEnroe distinguished herself as a rising star, earning her T-CHEST (Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician Train-the-Trainer) certification from the Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE) with a perfect score and preparing to complete her CIMS-GB CCE later this year.
