Just as it seems we were ready to enter a recovery period from the omicron variant, cases of COVID-19 have begun to rise in Europe and across the globe. Public health officials and scientists are closely monitoring the spread of a new subvariant of omicron, known as BA.2.

Also known as the “stealth” strain, BA.2 has genetic mutations that could make it harder to distinguish from the delta variant using PCR tests, compared with the original omicron variant, BA.1. But what does this mean for the cleaning industry?
