Hygieia all the way!

Since coming aboard to the ISSA Hygieia Network (IHN) at the beginning of June, I have been working with our IHN council members as we prepare for ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America 2016 this fall in Chicago. The ISSA Hygieia Network will host two events at the show: “Networking Secrets of Successful Women” featuring guest speaker and author, Diane Darling on Tuesday, October 25 from 2:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., and the 2016 ISSA Hygieia Network Awards ceremony on Wednesday, October 26 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Sponsored by Georgia-Pacific LLC, Diane Darling will offer her professional experiences and tips to help women professionals successfully build the relationship with their peers in the global cleaning industry. There will also be an opportunity for folks to test their networking skills among their peers.

The 2016 ISSA Hygieia Network Awards celebrates and recognizes those who have furthered the advancement of women professionals in the global cleaning industry. It will be an evening of appetizers and cocktail as we celebrate the progress of women leadership and education.

In working with our council members, I am encouraged by their outstanding commitment in providing better opportunities for women at all professional levels, and how their influence in the industry will encourage future women to take on these opportunities.

These are exciting opportunities for our ISSA Hygieia Network members to take a part in as we build momentum in empowering our women professionals in this growing, ever-changing, diverse industry.
