Imperial Dade has emerged as a major disruptor in the cleaning industry. Under its current leadership team, which includes company chairman Robert Tillis. As of October 2022, the company has completed purchased more than 50 distributors, folding them into an ever-growing family.
In this episode of Straight Talk!, ISSA Media Director Jeff Cross meets up with Tillis on the floor of ISSA Show North America 2022. Throughout the course of the interview Tillis details his journey from manufacturing into distribution and how he turned Imperial Dade from a local supplier into a national player.
With dozens of acquisitions, of course Imperial Dade has confronted growing pains over the years. But according to Tillis, his organization has been able to rise above these bumps in the road by planning and preparing properly, which leads to proper performance. He’s proud that Imperial Dade not just a job, but a career by empowering employees, enabling them to grow with the organization. Tillis touches on his company’s retention strategy that has seen its team blossom
