ISSA Appoints New Executive Director

ISSA has named Kim Althoff as the next ISSA Executive Director, which became effective on October 29, 2025. Althoff will succeed John Barrett, who has served in the role since 2015 and will transition to Chairman Emeritus, continuing to advise the association for the next three years.

This leadership transition marks a pivotal juncture for ISSA as it honors Barrett’s 10 years of leadership and embraces a new chapter under Althoff’s direction.

Althoff, who has 29 years of experience at ISSA, most recently served as Executive Vice President. In this role, she led membership, events, media, sales, international operations, and ISSA Charities. Althoff has been instrumental in advancing strategic partnerships, overseeing flagship events like ISSA Show North America, and more.

ISSA Elects 2026 Board Members

ISSA is pleased to announce that the following individuals have been elected to serve on the 2026 ISSA board of directors, which will be led by ISSA president Laurie Sewell of Servicon: Vice president/president-elect John Swigart, Spartan Chemical Company Inc; Executive officer Matthew Urmanski, Essity Professional Hygiene; Manufacturer director Rob Posthauer, Rubbermaid Commercial Products; Distributor director Mike Cusick, Staples Inc; and Canada director (BSC) Michael Kroupa, United Services Group.
