Events

There was a full house at the traditional ISSA Herring Party in the Netherlands. European members met at ISSA member Vendor in Tilburg, Netherlands, where they discussed the importance of washroom hygiene and how the basics still need to be improved in certain countries. Also, three key facility management trends of the next five years where addressed: Sustainability, technology, and hospitality. Attendees had the chance to visit Vendor’s washroom hygiene production site where automation and technology play a fundamental role. Afterwards they enjoyed some delicious herring while networking. The Dutch love the season’s first herring, which starts appearing at the beginning of June. Traditionally, it is served with raw onions and sliced gherkins.

ISSA members and their guests enjoyed networking opportunities in Italy, during Pulire—The Smart Show, and in Johannesburg, during ISSA Cleantex Africa. During the ISSA networking events at exhibitions, participants get the chance to meet international and local show attendees to broaden their professional network. Upcoming events can be found in the online calendar at www.issa.com/events.
