Colgate Increases 3rd-Quarter Sales 10.5%
Colgate-Palmolive Co. has reported third-quarter net sales of US$4.91 million, a year-over-year increase of 10.5%.
Colgate reported a third-quarter operating profit of $1.02 billion, or $0.86 per share, up 9% from the same period last year. In North America, Colgate’s net sales grew 3.5%, while its European division posted an increase of 14.5%. The company’s Asia-Pacific segment saw sales dip 4%, and its Latin America division posted a 20% increase.
“We are very pleased to have delivered another quarter of strong top and bottom line growth. Net sales increased 10.5% and organic sales grew 9.0% with volume improving sequentially versus second quarter 2023,” said Noel Wallace, Colgate-Palmolive president and CEO. “Gross profit margin, operating profit margin, operating profit, net income, earnings per share, and free cash flow all increased versus the year-ago quarter.”
