Dow Boosts 1st-Quarter Sales 22%
Dow Chemical Co. has reported first-quarter net sales of US$11.9 billion, an increase of 22% year over year.
Dow credited the gains to a quick response and rebound to Winter Storm Uri in February and increased local prices and demand. Sales in the company’s packaging and specialty plastics segment jumped 32% to $6.1 billion, while its industrial intermediates and infrastructure segment increased sales 18% to $3.6 billion.
