Barley Chironda
Clorox Healthcare
Barley Chironda is a Registered Practical Nurse and the National Infection Preventionist and Clinical Solutions Director at Clorox Healthcare. With a Master’s degree in Infection Control from Essex University in the UK, Barley brings extensive expertise to his role. He is a former President of the Toronto Area Chapter and has served as a Frontline Infection Prevention Manager Nurse and a Manager for Healthcare Medical Device Reprocessing.
Barley’s passion for healthcare shines through in his dedication to motivating hospital staff and healthcare sales teams on proper infection prevention practices. His contributions to the field include publications on infection prevention.
A sought-after speaker, Barley has delivered captivating presentations globally, including in Canada, the USA, the UK, Australia, Malta, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia. In his current role, he tirelessly supports healthcare customers across the USA, driving excellence in infection prevention.

Rich Feczko is the President and Founder of Elevate Innovation Group, where he focuses on optimizing efficiency and governance through data, analytics, and innovation. With over 35 years of support service leadership across healthcare, higher education, business, and industry, he is recognized for driving digital transformation, improving quality and financial outcomes, and implementing innovative operational standards. Rich has held executive roles such as Chief Strategy Officer at Virtual Mgr and National Director at Compass Crothall, and is noted for his expertise in lean performance standards, governance, and sustainable innovation. He has received multiple honors, including the Central PA Business Journal Healthcare Hero and the BIG Sustainability Award.
Wendy Hood
Wendy Hood is a highly experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) currently practicing as a Locum Tenens provider in Birmingham, Alabama. She began her nursing career after graduating from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 1978 and went on to complete her nurse anesthesia training at Baptist Medical Centers/Samford University in 1984. With decades of clinical experience, Wendy has contributed to a variety of anesthesia practices and is recognized for her commitment to patient safety and excellence in perioperative care. She is active in the Birmingham healthcare community and is known for her expertise in both ambulatory and hospital-based anesthesia settings
Aramark Healthcare+
Isaac Johnson has more than 25 years of experience in the Healthcare Support Services industry. He currently serves as Senior Vice President of Operations for the South and Mid-Atlantic regions at Aramark Healthcare+, where he oversees large-scale operational strategies and teams. Isaac is an active member of the Indoor Environmental Healthcare and Hospitality Association (IEHA), a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), and serves as Chairperson for the IEHA Council. He holds the distinguished MESRE (Master Environmental Services Registered Executive) designation, reflecting his expertise and leadership in environmental services. Isaac earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from Virginia State University, graduating cum laude. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is the author of “The Right Fit” and co-author of “The Guiding Lights: The Art of Mentorship.”
Ray Laxton
Piedmont Healthcare
Ray began his Healthcare Management Technology (HTM) career in the US Air Force in 1980. Upon leaving the Air Force he joined ServiceMaster where he served as a support engineer and Corporate Director of Clinical Equipment Management Support. Ray has led multiple large IDN HTM programs including the Duke University Health System, Clarian Health Partners (IU Health), Sutter Health and is currently the Executive Director of Biomedical Engineering for Piedmont Health in Atlanta, GA.
Ray served as the Chair of the Board for the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) where he held multiple positions for 14 years. Ray has also served as the president of the North Carolina Biomedical Association, and he is currently a member of the Georgia Biomedical Instrumentation Society. He also serves on the Advisory Panel for the Chattahoochee Technical College Biomedical Equipment Technology program. Ray also serves on the Advisory Council for the Transformative Leadership in Disruptive Times Certificate Program at Seton Hall University, Stillman School of Business. He also currently serves on the Advisory Council for the Healthcare Surfaces Institute a Division of ISSA.
Ray is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and holds an MBA/MHA from Pfieffer University. He is also an AAMI fellow.
GOJO
As Vice President of GOJO/PURELL Healthcare, Joel leads the sales, marketing, and clinical teams dedicated to the GOJO/PURELL healthcare division, along with trade and distribution functions across the medical channel. Joel’s teams are also responsible for strategic GPO contract positioning, maximizing supply chain efficiencies, driving customer satisfaction and international coordination and business development throughout the GOJO/PURELL global footprint, including OEM manufacturing and product access.
With over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare industry, starting in the pharmaceutical space at Novartis and Schering Plough, Joel transitioned into the medical device and supply segment serving in key national sales leadership roles at ARKRAY and PDI. At each stop along his career path, Joel has built and led high-performing teams focused on delivering innovative, end-to-end healthcare solutions, primarily focused in future technologies and the infection prevention space. Joel’s dedication to the healthcare continuum of care has centered on his passion of advancing healthcare through collaboration, strategic execution, and innovation—and is proud to contribute to a mission-driven industry that impacts lives globally.
Joel is active in numerous industry and trade associations within the healthcare markets, serving on multiple national advisory boards and committees. He lives in New Smyrna Beach, FL with his wife Melissa and is a proud #GirlDad of three daughters (Natasha, Gabriela, Calisa). He is a graduate of Indiana University.
John Muir Health, East Bay Area SF
Joanna is a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Clinical Infectious/Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Practitioner with extensive experience in Epidemiology, Program Management, Education, Performance Improvement, Risk Management, Public Health, Case Management, Employee Health, and Emergency/Critical Care.
Joanna is a seasoned professional with over thirty years of nursing and clinical infection prevention knowledge and practice in a variety of health care environments ranging from Ambulatory Care, Home Health, Long Term Care/Rehabilitation to Acute Care, Teaching, and professional organizations. She is also an active community and nursing leader and educator. She is an active APIC member and past chapter board president.
Texas State University
Dr. Rodney E. Rohde, PhD is a University Distinguished Professor and Chair for the Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) Program in the College of Health Professions at Texas State University. He also serves as Associate Director for the Translational Health Research Center. Dr. Rohde is a Global Fellow, Fellow of the Association of Clinical Scientists, and Honorary Professor of International studies. He is an ASCP board certified Specialist in Virology, Microbiology and Molecular Biology. He spent a decade as a public health microbiologist and molecular epidemiologist with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Bureau of Laboratories and Zoonosis Control Division prior to his academic career, including two terms as a CDC Visiting Scientist. Dr. Rohde served as Associate Dean for Research in the College of Health Professions for nine years. His research interests include Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs), antimicrobial resistance, and clinical / public health microbiology especially zoonotic diseases (Rabies, Hantavirus, and others).
Dr. Rohde has published over 75 research articles and abstracts, two books and is a highly sought keynote presenter with over 100 international, national, and state conference presentations. His two books focus on Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) adaptation and Clinical Considerations in Rabies, respectively. In recent years, he has become a globally viral author subject matter expert utilizing invited articles, TEDx talks, podcasts, video casts and interviews to enhance science communication and translational health research literacy in public health, healthcare and the medical laboratory environment.

Nancy Schlossberg, BA, BSN, RN, CGRN, CER is a Program Director of Digestive Health Services at John Muir Health. She has a broad background in clinical, programmatic, and business development of GI and Endoscopy service lines, with a special interest in endoscopy reprocessing and ensuring a safe, patient-ready scope for every procedure, every time. Mrs. Schlossberg served as the 2000-2001 president of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) and the 2019- 2020 president of the American Board Certification in Gastroenterology Nursing (ABCGN). In 2003 she received the SGNA Distinguished Service award, and in 2015 she received the SGNA Gabriel Schindler award for clinical excellence.

Michael joined KleenMark in November of 2018 as the Director of Operations. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Administration and a Vocational degree in Bidding and Estimating, Michael’s knowledge of the industry and day-to-day operating processes to best achieve successful standards along with his education and background in labor productivity brings both an in-the-business and on-the-business perspective.
Today Michael is KleenMark’s Chief Operating Officer & Integrator responsible for holding the organization to a high Kleen Standard “Beyond aesthetics, we Kleen for safety and health.” Addressing challenges, ensuring operations efficiency, and providing the tools and resources for our KleenMark and our partners such as Kikkoman to be aligned and successful through accountability management. Understanding the regulatory compliances that must be followed and enhancing our efforts to be successful through technology pioneering and innovating advancements is a strength and differentiator that we strive to continuously improve and cascade every day.
Throughout his career, Michael has worked with national IFMs and various verticals to gain experience and has implemented multi-state and location integrations to improve and ensure high standard consistent operations are in place with validation controls for audit reporting and KPI developments. Our latest development is the Kleen Kit customized for all types of verticals to provide BSCs, in-house, and internal KleenMark with everything necessary to start, sustain, and increase efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards through A3 and complimentary focus control techniques and technology.
Independent Healthcare Value Consultant
Barbara Strain, MA, CVAHP is an independent healthcare value consultant specializing in new, emerging, and disruptive technology and established medical modalities and is often a thought partner for provider hospital organizations to reimagine their value analysis programs. She spent more than 20 years as the Director of Value Management at the University of Virginia Health. Earlier in her 40-year career, she focused on clinical laboratory operations, microbiology, disinfection, sterilization, and infection control in provider hospital organizations. She is a founding member and past president of the Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP). Barbara is an inductee of the 2021 Bellwether League Foundation’s Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership and currently serves at its Chairman.

Iris Verdi is a nationally recognized leader in healthcare environmental services, with over 25 years of experience in hospital EVS operations, infection prevention, compliance, and strategic partnerships. As Director of Strategic Accounts – Healthcare at KBS, she leads national client relationships across health systems, outpatient centers, and clinics—driving excellence in cleaning performance, survey readiness, and patient-centered outcomes.
Iris is a passionate advocate for the frontline workforce and a vocal champion of industry standards, training, and sustainability. She serves as the Delaware State Advocate for ISSA and is a frequent speaker at industry events and panels.
In addition to her operational leadership, Iris is a published author and thought leader. Her work has appeared in Infection Control Today, Healthcare Hygiene Magazine, and ISSA’s own publications, where she writes about environmental services’ role in infection prevention, biofilm management, and aligning EVS strategy with healthcare goals.
As a member of the ISSA Advisory Council, Iris brings a field-informed perspective shaped by decades of experience and a deep commitment to advancing the cleaning industry. Her voice ensures that healthcare cleaning remains central in conversations around safety, innovation, and quality care.
Providence Saint Joseph Health
Sarah Wilkerson, MN, RN, CIC, CNOR(E), FAPIC is the System Executive Director for Infectious Disease Management and Prevention at Providence Saint Joseph Health. She has been a nurse for over 16 years, starting her healthcare career in the operating room and working as a Perioperative Clinical Nurse Educator. She then transitioned into Infection Prevention, where she has worked for the last 11 years. She is Certified as a Perioperative Nurse and in Infection Control as well as a Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). She has experience in acute care, critical access, inpatient rehabilitation, surgical and long-term hospitals, and ambulatory care.
Sarah enjoys the challenges of the profession as well as teaching and mentoring new Infection Preventionists. She has a passion for special pathogen preparedness, standardization, and finding ways for teams to collaborate across different disciplines to care for their patients safely. She has been published in the American Journal of Infection Control, New England Journal of Medicine and Anesthesia and Analgesia. She is a Past-President in her local APIC chapter and remains active on its board.
