3M Increases 3rd-Quarter Sales 7.1%

3M has reported fiscal-third-quarter sales of US$8.9 billion, up 7.1% year-on-year.
Sales in the company’s health care division increased 4.1% to $2.2 billion and its consumer division saw an 8.1% lift in sales to $1.5 billion. 3M’s safety and industrial division reported sales of $3.2 billion, a bump of 7.2% while sales in the company’s transportation and electronics division climbed 5.8% to $2.5 billion.
