February 22, 2022 Aramark Names New Sustainability VP

Aramark has named Alan Horowitz vice president of sustainability.

Horowitz is the co-founder and former CEO of Green Street USA, a small business sustainability consulting firm. Prior to that, he led environment, health, and safety; compliance; and risk and security for Microsoft’s cloud operations. In his new position, Horowitz will oversee all of Aramark’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting, as well as all strategies, policies, and programs to advance sustainability within and across the company.

“Our commitment to enabling people to prosper on a healthy planet is critical to our long-term success. Alan has built his career working with business leaders to convert their passion for sustainability into industry-leading ESG programs. Because of this expertise, he will play a pivotal role in evolving and elevating our sustainability plan, including our commitment to setting enterprise-wide science-based targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” said Ash Hanson, Aramark senior vice president and chief diversity and sustainability officer.
