Cintas Chief Administration Officer Announces Retirement

Michael L. Thompson, Cintas Corp. executive vice president and chief administration officer (CAO), has announced his retirement effective August 31.

Thompson joined Cintas in 1994 as a financial analyst and has held a variety of ascending leadership roles throughout his tenure, including director of corporate development, vice president and treasurer, senior vice president of business transformation, and chief information officer (CIO). He has worked in his current position of CAO since 2018.

“I want to thank Mike for his tremendous contributions during his incredible 29 years with Cintas,” said Todd Schneider, Cintas president and CEO. “Over his career, Mike has successfully taken on many challenging areas and created opportunities that have made our company significantly better because of his leadership. I value Mike’s perspective, dedication, and friendship and will miss working with him every day. I wish he and his family all the best in the future as they enjoy this new phase in life.”

Cintas announced the company will not fill Anderson’s CAO position at this current time, with his responsibilities and oversight to be distributed among its executive administration.

In addition, Cintas has promoted Jim Rozakis to executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO), effective June 1. He has been with Cintas since 1994 and has served as president and COO of the company’s rental division since 2020.

“Jim’s vision and focus on our customers and employee-partners has had an incredible impact on the rental division, and it has created our road map for Cintas’ future,” added Schneider. “Coupled with his drive and his commitment to excellence, Jim is poised to help lead Cintas’ businesses to even greater success in his new role as our chief operating officer.”
