Clorox Boosts 2nd-Quarter Sales 27%

The Clorox Co., parent company of Clorox Professional Products Co., has reported fiscal-second-quarter earnings of US$259 million, or $2.03 per share, up 27% compared to the same quarter last year.

Clorox attributed the increase to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and related behavioral shifts. Sales in the company’s health and wellness segment, which includes cleaning and professional products, climbed 42% while its household division’s sales grew 20%. Clorox’s lifestyle division saw sales rise 9% and its international division jumped 23%.
