Colgate-Palmolive Co. has reported third-quarter net sales of US$4.45 billion, an increase of 1% year over year.

Colgate-Palmolive reported a third-quarter operating profit of $947 million, or $0.74 per share, a dip of 1% from the same period last year. In North America, Colgate-Palmolive’s organic sales increased 3%, while its European division saw a 2.5% rise. The company’s Africa/Eurasia segment saw organic sales jump 20%, and its Latin America division posted an 11.5% increase.

“We are very pleased to have delivered our 15th consecutive quarter of organic sales growth at or above our targeted range of 3% to 5%. Net sales increased 1%, and organic sales grew 7%, with growth in every division and in all four of our categories,” said Noel Wallace, Colgate-Palmolive president and CEO.
