Dow’s 2nd-Quarter Sales Jump 66%
July 22, 2021Dow Chemical Co. has reported second-quarter net sales of US$13.9 billion, an increase of 66% year over year.
Dow credited the gains to a rising demand in the industrial, infrastructure, and personal care markets. Sales in the company’s packaging and specialty plastics segment soared 78% from the previous year to $7.1 billion, its industrial intermediates and infrastructure segment boosted sales 74% to $4.2 billion, and its performance materials and coatings division had a 33% rise to $2.5 billion.
